Lanzarote, not long ago.
We had sat down to chat about interviews over a couple of beers and some wrinkled potatoes. One of the many Canarian delicacies.
TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF
It is one of the most hated and feared questions, because one does not know where to start.- Daniel knew what he was talking about, he had been in the HR sector for a long time.
A story with emotion, well told, generates much more connection than the best possible powerpoint.
In fact, good story telling is an underrated skill.

A good story plants ideas, thoughts and beliefs in the mind of the listener.- I understood, I knew that humans move ancestrally through the world of stories.
At first by word of mouth and then through writing, movies, series…

That is why we use the present past future method. Who am I, how did I get here and what is my search engine?

Humans look for stories in other humans, and if the story has a deep motive, a motive that moves other people, the attraction is even greater.
“Why do I want to change the world from my aisle/seat?”
Have you ever thought of a similar question?
Have you ever met someone with that strength and that passion?

A lot of people have that idea (they keep it almost like a secret), a lot of people think they could do more and even more when you talk to them in private, face to face.
There is still more, most people recognize who is capable of communicating that passion ,of transmitting that energy in a project.
And that is precisely what “Tell me about yourself or why should we hire you” allows you to explain in a short time
Answer those questions with the following ingredients:
Professionally
With passion about the real motive
In story format.
Some have been cooking their passion little by little, a trip, a flight, an acquaintance who is in aviation.
Others have clear and punctual moments of change, we call them Wow / aha moments.
Think about when and how yours happened, how you got to that passion for flying.
It came to me very soon when I was barely 11 or 12 years old, I replied.
Do you know when you want to get up early to fly? That is the feeling that many of us have and that despite the red eye, the tired face and even the little complaints and grumbles, we still go and enjoy it after the day, the months, the years of flight.
That is passion and that passion drives entire careers and people.
That is YOUR story, your personal story, and that is what you must shape so that your answer is authentic and real.
Until then, find peaceful skies.
