THE WORST PART OF TESTS

Airline Commander and Crew Mentor, Qrewmentor helps and guides crew members to access jobs with honesty and professionalism.

The worst part of some tests is not studying, filling in the dozens of data that the companies ask us for, or even moving to another city or another country to take complete tests.
Nor is it the repetition of questions that come up over and over again, such as tell me about yourself or tell me about your worst flight experience.

It is not even the training of psychotechnicians, or typical questions and answers about customer service or about emergency procedures or limitations of one or another plane.

For QrewMentor team, the worst part of testing is the wait between one testing phase and another.

The not knowing

Patience waiting for results on whether the previous exam, the previous test or the phase just completed, has a negative result (and you stay as you were) or a positive one (and you go to the next phase).

It’s very common. Airlines and companies handle many factors to hire (or eliminate) a candidate and those factors are always hidden from the result.
If you don’t pass the test, they rarely tell you why (with which the ability to improve has no possibility).
If, on the contrary, you pass the test, they don’t tell you what it was due to, so we can’t understand what our strength is in such situations.
So the wait, with the consequent anxiety, is one of the factors to take into account and know how to drive.
It doesn’t go away. If for some reason you get involved in the selection process more than necessary (it’s a company you really want to join) anxiety will come sooner or later.
Si what can we do?

Well, one of the most accepted solutions is to try to be involved in more selection processes, because it opens up other options, it keeps you trained in tests and it keeps you mentally busy.
Because the anxiety of waiting is always a close friend of free time.

In short, more than one selection process at a time and a busy mind.

Happy week and processes.

In the meantime, may you find peaceful skies.
