How do I dress for the interview? (They always hesitate before asking.)
It’s normal, we also doubted, and that’s why we failed in the past and that’s why we studied the mistakes and now know what eliminates you when dressing.

No one is born knowing how to dress for an interview, furthermore , they don’t teach you about it at school, in many of the houses or it is not something that is usually discussed among friends.

And yet it is an essential point between a:

-We are sorry to inform you that you have not been chosen…
And a…

-We are pleased to inform you that you have been chosen for the job.

As a summary: In an interview, if you are poorly dressed, it is very difficult for them to take you seriously.

Lets start by the beginning.
This is the first of many posts about clothing and non-verbal communication in interviews.

THE SHIRT.

A good shirt is ALWAYS correct .
A very good shirt MAKES AN INCREDIBLE DIFFERENCE.
Actually when we dress for an interview, it all starts with the shirt.

There are 3 types:

  • Classic: This is appropriate for wide people, especially if they are wide and short.
  • Thin (slim): It is the most common, in fact if you are not sure which one to use, CHOOSE THIS ONE.
  • Extra thin (extra slim): This one looks good if you are in shape. If you are a little out of shape it is better to avoid it.
  • The front of the shirt should be flat, tight, we leave the free space for the back.
The shoulder cut should be at the end of our shoulder.
  • CUFFS
  • Double: It is traditional, for important meetings, weddings or important events.
  • Round: For work and more casual events.
  • With Miter: It is angular, less classic. More youthful.
  • Adjustable: With button. More casual. Remember that the cuff should come out a bit from the end of the jacket without covering the hand. The usual would be 10-12 cm from the tip of the thumb.
  • SHIRT COLLARS.
  • Classic: It is the one that best looks at a formal event with a tie (the most recommended for an interview)
  • Italian: It is more modern, it works well without a tie.
  • Oxford: For more casual use.

How tight should the shirt collar be?

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PUT YOUR FINGERS BETWEEN THE COLLAR OF THE SHIRT AND YOUR OWN SKIN.
During the interview always have your buttons done up and jacket on.

The extra button at the bottom of the shirt (which can be buttoned) Make sure it is too.

Hold the shirt inside the pants and prevent it from coming out if you stretch.

And the colors?

WHITE IS ALWAYS CORRECT. IT IS THE COLOR.

Others are left behind, some can also be an option , but not as much .

Second options can be considered:

Beige, Light Pink, Blue, Light Blue, Light Green, Grey, Black.
The traditional look, is always successful (using the reverse thought), it is all about not eliminating ourselves .

Good interviews and meetings.

Wear it with elegance.
Meanwhile, may you Find peaceful skies.
