One of the most frequent doubts and questions that come to us at Qrewmentor is how to have a good CV in Aviation.

The function of a CV is to GET THEM TO CALL US FOR THE INTERVIEW.

For that, you have to make life easier for the system that “filters us” and for the HR team that decides who is and who is not a possibility.

Let’s see the structure in a few lines and the basic functions of a CV.

At the beginning we will have to say who we are, so our name will go at the top (ideally it should be the same one that appears in our passport, which in aviation is the official identification document).

Then the personal data and we understand by this, the data that a recruiter needs to contact us.

We mean the email and the telephone number (with the country code as many recruitment companies are not in our same country).

By one of these two means they will contact us.

They are not going to send us a letter or a postcard, so the physical address is not that important.

We must facilitate the work of the team that receives our CV.

Depending on our experience we can write a few lines about our objective (little experience) or a short professional summary (a lot of experience).

After this goes our work experience, we won’t get tired of saying it,

Month/Year of Start. Month/Year of ending. Company and place.

And not much more, a CV is not filled with details, it is better to keep it clean leaving things without saying (we will cover that part in the interview).

A CV that is too detailed or full, exhausts a recruiter (who sees many a week).

Let’s say that it is better to leave certain data to curiosity to be resolved in the next phase (the interview).
Now it’s time for our studies. Same format.

Month/Year of Start.Month/Year of ending. Study center and place.

ALWAYS FROM MOST MODERN TO OLDEST.

And finally the languages.

In letters and numbers (A1-C2) format, the term “fluent English” is very personal and does not accurately specify the level.

And not much more to add.

It is not necessary to put hobbies, non-professional skills etc.
The personal part is asked later when the CV has done its job:

passing the phase.

One last note: Everything that adds value to the company we are trying to enter is an important plus.

And finally:

IF YOU DO NOT SEND YOUR CV, THEY DON’T KNOW YOU EXIST.

Until then may you find Peaceful skies.
