There are 2 types of training:
With discipline (these stress).
Friendly (these relax), sometimes in excess.
Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
Let’s see it…
In aviation there are two types of companies according to their way of training their crew.
Those who train under an idea of discipline and toughness and those who train in a more friendly and relaxed environment.
This is a key year in aviation from the point of view of any crew member.
After 2 years of hiatus (some less, others more) many of us are rejoining the aeronautical market with new conditions, in new places and with a market that is also changing.
Throughout this process of returning to a “normal” life of flight, there is the initial training, the re-training or the change of company with a new training.

As I said at the beginning, training can be stressful due to the imposed discipline or calm when the environment is more friendly.
Usually one or the other occurs, and rarely (very rare) both together.
The first one (those of the discipline) if they last in time, they can make the trainee run out of patience or even their serenity.
The second ones (the friendly ones) are more sensitive if they last a short time, because there is no time to establish in the trainee the minimum discipline necessary for him to fly safely.

Once the training is over and once the long-awaited “release” has been achieved, the first month is usually quite safe, either because the imposed discipline still has its effects or because the friendly training does not allow us to fully trust ourselves.
Let’s say that we are very tied if we have trained in the discipline mode or that we do not trust ourselves if we have trained in the friendly mode.
Then comes the “relaxation”.

Under the first type of training, because the discipline is relaxed by noticing that no one constantly examines us and that the learned procedures work.
Under the second type, because we trust that we have passed the training, that we bring (some) previous experience and that “we know what we are doing”.
It is here, in the first month after the first month, that the errors appear, the Go around, the “high and fast” approaches, the forgetfulness of ramp assembly, the material mistake, etc.
It’s a natural process, but if we know that the first month after the first month is more sensitive to errors, we can protect ourselves a little better.
Well that, protect yourselves.
Meanwhile, may you find peaceful flights.
